
Nassau County, NY – March 1, 2019 – The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a 16 year old male juvenile from Lakeview for a total of four robberies and a petit larceny that occurred between Sunday, January 6, 2019 and Monday, February 25, 2019 in Lakeview, Rockville Centre, and Roosevelt.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, the defendant arranged to meet the victims on Facebook Long Island Buy and Sell and Facebook Market Place, he would inquire about purchasing an item and arrange to meet. Once at the location the defendant would take the item from the victim and threaten the use of a handgun. In one robbery he displayed a black handgun. There were no injuries reported.
The juvenile defendant is charged with three (3) counts of Robbery 1st Degree, one (1) count of Robbery 3rd Degree, and one (1) count of Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Friday, March 01, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
Detectives believe that there may be more victims and anyone who feels they may have been a victim should contact the Nassau County Robbery Squad at 516-573-2800.
