
Brentwood, NY – February 25, 2019 – Suffolk County Police arrested a teenager who made a terroristic threat against the Brentwood Freshman Center via social media.
Officials from the Brentwood Union Free School District, as well as several parents, reported to police that a threat had been made online on Sunday, February 24 targeting the district’s freshman center, located at 33 Leahy Ave., on Monday.
Third Precinct Crime Section officers arrested the 16-year-old Brentwood male without incident and he was charged by Third Squad detectives with Making a Terroristic Threat, a felony. He is scheduled to be held overnight to be arraigned in Family Court in Central Islip on Monday.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
