NEW YORK, NY – Former NBC host Matt Lauer reportedly had a secret button under his desk to lock his office door, according to accounts from multiple women.
Lauer, who was fired for workplace misconduct, allegedly had a button under his desk to facilitate locking his door with ease, two victims told Variety. The button allowed Lauer to lock the door without getting up so that he could ensure privacy while welcoming women into his office, the alleged victims claim.

One woman claimed that Lauer welcomed her into his office, where he then dropped his pants and showed her his penis. When she declined, the host allegedly reprimanded her for turning him down.

“[Lauer] couldn’t sleep around town with celebrities or on the road with random people, because he’s Matt Lauer and he’s married,” a former producer told Variety. “So he’d have to do it within his stable, where he exerted power, and he knew people wouldn’t ever complain.”
