NEW YORK – At the General Legislature Meeting on Tuesday, March 7th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker honored Jade Pinkenburg of Rocky Point with a proclamation for his academic accomplishments and for his commitment to his school and community. Jade, a junior at Rocky Point High School, earned a perfect score of 36 on his ACT examination in December 2016, an accomplishment achieved by only one-tenth of 1% of ACT test-takers.
“I would like to offer my congratulations to Jade for earning a perfect score on the ACT exam, an incredible accomplishment achieved by only a small number of students across the nation,” said Legislator Anker. “Jade is truly a role model for his peers as demonstrated not only through his academic achievements, but also through his enthusiasm for his community.”
When he is not studying, Jade is active in many school and community groups. He is the Captain of the Robotics Team, Vice President of the Science Club, and a member of the Math Team, Math Honor Society, the school orchestra, and the track and field team. In addition, he volunteers at North Shore Youth Council, a not-for-profit agency in Rocky Point.
