
LONG ISLAND, NY – The Homicide Squad is investigating the details of a serious auto accident Tuesday night in Uniondale where a pedestrian was struck, leaving him seriously injured.
According to detectives, a 2013 Infiniti G37, operated by a male driver, 19, was traveling northbound on Earle Ovington Blvd./Charles Lindbergh Blvd. when he struck a male pedestrian, 18, who was attempting to cross.
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim, who suffered head trauma, to a local hospital where he is listed in extremely critical condition. No other injuries were reported.
Detectives are reporting no apparent criminality at this time. A breathalyzer test was administered at the scene with negative results. The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety inspection.
