LONG ISLAND, NY – Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who attempted to burglarize a Water Mill house last month.

He is described as a while male with a tall build. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and gloves. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
On August 18, at approximately 10 p.m., the suspect attempted to gain entry into the home by kicking open the door. The suspect fled when he was confronted by the homeowner who was inside the house.
The suspect, seen on video surveillance, kicked open the door of a Water Mill home and fled when the victim confronted him. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
The suspect is described as white with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-hooded jacket and grey gloves.
