Detectives Release Surveillance Photo of Suspect Wanted for Two Bank Robberies in Rockville Centre and Oceanside

LONG ISLAND, NY – Nassau County Detectives are investigating two Bank Robberies which occurred today, Tuesday, August 04, 2015 in Rockville Centre and Oceanside.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, at 1:21 P.M a male Hispanic in his mid to late twenties, approximately 5’ 5” tall with a thin build wearing sunglasses, a white t-shirt, black jeans and black and white sneakers carrying a black drawstring bag entered the Citibank located at 297 Merrick Road. He presented a teller with a demand note at which time the teller complied giving him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were 9 employees and 1 customer in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries are reported.

At 1:40 P.M. the same man entered the Roslyn Savings Bank located at 3140 Long Beach Road in Oceanside and presented the teller a demand note. The teller complied giving the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were 6 employees and 1 customer in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

The fact that a suspect has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Suspects are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
