LONG ISLAND, NY – The Seventh Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 1:21 am in Merrick.
According to detectives, Seventh Precinct Officers responded to a burglary alarm at AT & T- 186 Merrick Road. Upon arrival officers found a broken window from the front door. After an investigation it was determined that five (5) unknown male subjects entered and removed approximately 10-15 cell phones.
The subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The subjects are described as 4 male blacks, 1 unknown male, wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts, dark colored pants and gloves.
Tom, who is the manager of the Merrick store told Newsli that the burglars stole 15 items on display including Iphones, Droids and Tablets.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
The fact that a suspect is accused with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
