Suffolk County Detectives Investigating Crash That Killed Pedestrian, Christopher Noselli, 36, in Hauppauge

LONG ISLAND, NY – Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Hauppauge last night, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at approximately 9:20 p.m..
According to police, Christopher Noselli was walking in the eastbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Highway near Old Townline Road when he was struck by a 2006 Nissan Murano that was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway.
Noselli, 36, was transported via Commack Rescue to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Nissan Murano, Laura Escobar, 25, of Smithtown, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
