LONG ISLAND, NY – Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred today at a bank in Farmingdale.
A man entered TD Bank, located at 2025 Broad Hollow Road, at approximately 12:15 p.m., approached a teller and verbally demanded cash. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled on foot northbound through the parking lot.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 35 and 40 years old and unshaven. He was wearing a light-colored T-shirt and a red baseball cap.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
