LONG ISLAND, NY – The Narcotics/Vice Bureau reports the arrest of a woman for Possession of a Forged Instrument on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2:10 p.m. in Garden City South.
According to detectives, on February 23, 2015 Samantha P. Sanginiti, 25 of 506 Terrace Avenue, Garden City South entered the Levinson’s Pharmacy located at 3259 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown and presented a forged New York State Prescription for oxycodone. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Sanginiti on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2:10 p.m. at her residence.
Samantha P. Sanginiti, 25 was charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree after she attempted to prescribe a forged prescription for oxycodone at Levinson’s Pharmacy in Levittown on February 23. She will be arraigned today July 2 in Hempstead.
The defendant is charged with one count of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree. She will be arraigned Today, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
