LONG ISLAND, NY – The Fourth Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 7:26pm in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, the male victim, 33, while sitting in the driver’s seat of his 2014 Chevy Equinox color white, while parked at the corner of Rottkamp Street and Oliver Avenue, was approached by an unknown male suspect as he entered the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The two men started to argue and both exited the vehicle. As the argument continued the suspect pointed a knife at the victim and then ran back to the victim’s vehicle, re-entered it and drove away. Within minutes it was reported the victim’s vehicle was involved in an accident located at 200 Floral Parkway in Floral Park. The vehicle was recovered and impounded for investigative processing. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black male, 40-45 yrs., 5’11”, 200lbs., unkempt beard, possible dreadlocks, wearing a black jacket and black hat.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
