LONG ISLAND, NY – A Suffolk County man was arrested yesterday for trespassing into an elementary school in Floral Park last week, police said.
Last week, a press release from the NCPD notified the public about a man who entered Our Lady of Victory School located at 2 Bellmore St. then walked down the stairs to the men’s bathroom while school was in session.
At that time, there was a fire drill and the subject was seen by faculty members who attempted to stop him, but he escaped and fled the area.
With the help of the public, Nassau County Police were able associate Frank Fellini, 29, of Brentwood to the incident that occurred at the school last week.
Frank Fellini, 29, of Bellmore is charged with third degree criminal trespass after entering Our Lady of Victory School in Floral Park last week. He is to return to the First District Court in Hempstead on June 30.
There is no information released yet about Fellini’s intentions or a reasons behind why he decided to enter the school.
He is charged with third degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.
No injuries were reported.
Following his arrest, Fellini was released with a desk appearance ticket for him to return to the First District Court in Hempstead on June 30.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
