
LONG ISLAND, NY – A man entered New York Commercial Bank, located at 950 Montauk Highway, approached a teller and displayed what appeared to be a black handgun. The suspect produced a note demanding cash and the teller complied with the suspect’s demands. The man fled in a vehicle waiting outside. The vehicle was described by witnesses as a black sedan.
The suspect was described as a black male in his 40s with a medium build and approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The investigation is continuing.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
