LONG ISLAND, NY – Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole a tip jar from a Selden fast food restaurant.
A woman entered Tropical Smoothie, located at 267 Middle Country Road, and stole a tip jar from the counter while employees were in the rear of the store on May 29 at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Nicholas, who is an employee at Tropical Smoothie, told the Long Island Exchange that there was approximately $20 dollars inside the tip jar.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
