Police: Two Charged with Robbery in Hicksville; Threatened to Steal Bicycle with Knife from 16 Year Old Victim

LONG ISLAND, NY – Nassau County Police have arrested two men for a Robbery that occurred in Hicksville on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:40 a.m.
According to Second Squad detectives, officers responded to a call for a robbery with a knife that just occurred in the vicinity of Malone Street and East Avenue. The 16 year old male victim was with defendants Bryan Gonzalez, 18 of Hicksville and Michael Campo, 25, of Jericho when both defendants pushed and struck the victim taking his bicycle. When victim attempted to retrieve bicycle defendant Gonzalez threatened him with a knife. Witnesses to the incident came to the aid of the victim and the defendants left the bicycle and walked away. A witness advised officers that Gonzalez and Campo were walking west on Blueberry Lane where they were placed under arrest.

Both defendants are charged with Robbery 1st Degree and defendant Gonzalez was additional charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. The defendants will be arraigned on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
