
(Long Island, NY) The Nassau County Police Departments Major Case Bureau has reported the arrest of a Rosedale, Queens man on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 8:00 pm in East Garden City.
According to detectives, on October 22, 2014 around 9:00 pm, Terrell Thompson, 20, of Rosedale, while in Bloomingdales, 630 Old Country Road, used fraudulent credit cards to purchase merchandise totaling $1,130.00.
On November 24, 2014, Thompson, while in the same Bloomingdales, around 6:40 pm, used a fraudulent credit card to make a merchandise purchase totaling $1,165.00.
Terrell Thompson, 20, of Rosedale, is charged with six counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Identity Theft 1st Degree and two counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree. The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
After being recognized by a store employee from the previous incident, 9-1-1 was called. After police arrival, Thompson was located in the store and placed under arrest without incident. He was found to be in possession of numerous fraudulent credit and debit cards.
Thompson is charged with six counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Identity Theft 1st Degree and two counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead today, November 25, 2014.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
