Cops: Baldwin Man, Sanjay Singh, 26, Charged with Criminal Sale, Possession of Heroin

(Baldwin, NY) Nassau County Police have arrested a Baldwin man for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance from an incident that occurred on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. in Baldwin.
According to Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives, on September 18, 2014 and September 19, 2014 an investigation was conducted at which time Sanjay S. Singh 26, of 963 Lydia Place sold an undisclosed amount of heroin. On October 2, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. detectives placed Singh under arrest at his residence without incident.

Singh is charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree. He will be arraigned today, Friday, October 3, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
