Amityville Man, Dominique Lawrence, 24, Charged with Sale of Heroin to Undercover Detectives in Massapequa

(Massapequa, NY) Nassau County Police arrested an Amityville man for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance from an incident that occurred on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Massapequa Park.
According to Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives, on Thursday October 2, 2014 detectives conducted a narcotics investigation at which time the defendant Dominique D. Lawrence 24, of 39 Glenmalure Street did sell an undisclosed amount of heroin to undercover detectives at 6:00 p.m. and again at 9:47 p.m. on Carmen Road in Massapequa. The defendant was placed under arrest without incident.

Lawrence is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree. He will be arraigned today, Friday October 3, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
