Cops: Medford Man, John Auteri, 48, Arrested at Traffic Stop; 49 License Suspensions, Revocations Since 1986

(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police today arrested a Medford man after it was determined that his license had been suspended or revoked 49 times.
Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct Patrol Officer Paul Rocchio was on patrol in Medford when he observed the driver of a 2007 Chrysler, John Auteri, fail to signal when he turned into the parking lot of 580 Route 112 at 9:55 a.m.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Auteri’s license had been suspended or revoked 49 times on at least 20 different dates dating back to 1986.
John Auteri, 48, is the mug shot of John Auteri. Auteri was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree.
Auteri, 48, of Pitchpine Place, of Medford was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree. He will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on September 26.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
