
(Centereach, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole items from a store in Centereach this month.
According to the report, on August 13, 2014, a man entered a Wal-Mart, located at 161 Centereach Mall, and stole a wrench set and ratchet at approximately 10:50 p.m. The suspect put the merchandise in his pockets and approached the check-out counter, but before exiting the store, he dropped the merchandise and fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, dark-haired, with a beard and mustache, wearing a dark-colored T-shirt.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
The fact that a suspect is being charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Suspects are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
