Police Investigating Crash that Killed Motorcyclist in Patchogue; Helicopter Airlifted Frustaci, 27, to Stony Brook

(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Patchogue today.
According to the report, Michael Frustaci was driving a 2014 Yamaha, eastbound on Sunrise Highway at the North Ocean Avenue exit, when he lost control and rear-ended a 2014 Toyota minivan at approximately 3:40 p.m.
Frustaci, 27, of Holbrook was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital via Suffolk County Police helicopter where he died from his injuries. The woman driving the Toyota was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. The investigation is continuing.
