Nassau Police Respond to Burglary in Uniondale; Find Men Hiding in Crawl Space, Vehicle Outside Home

(Merrick, NY) The Nassau County Police Department reports the arrest of two Hempstead men for Burglary that occurred on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 6:40 p.m. in Uniondale.
According to First Squad detectives, officers responded to a call for a burglary on Fenimore Avenue. Upon their arrival the officers discovered the defendant Shukur Carrion, 20 of 22 Dakota Place hiding in a second floor crawl space. Carrion refused to obey the officer’s orders and began flailing his arms, refusing to allow them to place him under arrest. The defendant Marlon R Castellanos, 19 of 71 Vermont Avenue was discovered hiding in a vehicle outside the home. He was placed under arrest without incident.

Castellanos is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Carrion is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest. They will both be arraigned today, Tuesday, August 05, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
