Police: Suspect Wanted In Connection With Freeport Robbery

(Freeport, NY) Police are asking for help in locating a suspect in a robbery that occurred Saturday evening in Freeport at 5:10pm.
According to detectives, a male subject approached a male victim, 28, on Raynor Street and Bedell Street, punched him in the face and torso multiple times, and then took a cell phone and some cash from the victim’s pocket.
The subject picked up a metal link chain, which he threatened the victim with if he followed him, and then ran westbound on Raynor Street.
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim, who sustained cuts, contusions and bleeding to the mouth, to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as a male black, approximately 30 years of age, dark complexion, 6’3” tall, 200 lbs., multiple tattoos, wearing a red baseball cap, white tee shirt and black shorts.
