Critically Injured Man In Central Islip Fight Dies

(Central Islip, NY) Luis Gonzalez, 50, of 7 Peach St., in Central Islip who was critically injured in a fight in the road, died this morning, according to police. Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
Third Precinct police officers were called to a fight in the road at 8:50pm Saturday night. When officers arrived, they found Gonzalez unconscious with a head injury. His son, Jonathan, 28, also suffered a head injury. Both were taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where Jonathan was treated and released and Luis was admitted in critical condition.
