(Long Island, NY) A registered child molester and owner of Dun Rite Upholstery on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset was arrested Tuesday after allegedly sexually assaulting an employee, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Alfred Balcerak, 54, a Freeport resident, stands accused of pulling down the pants of an unidentified male employee in his 20’s and groping his genitals on May 21 at approximately 4 p.m., police said.
The victim immediately left the store after the assault and alerted the Nassau County Police Department.
Balcerak surrendered to police on Tuesday, and was arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead on the charge of first-degree sexual abuse.
Balcerak had previously served two years in prison for fondling two young boys in 2009, ages 13 and 14. He was also convicted in 1998 of sexually assaulting two children, ages 9 and 14. He served probation only for that incident.
Balcerak is currently a Registered Level 3 Sex Offender.
