(Long Island, NY) An unknown gunman is currently being sought in connection with a shooting in Uniondale on Thursday, leaving two victims in the hospital, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Police on patrol in the area of Coco’s Pub, located at 862 Nassau Road, heard shots at approximately 4 a.m., prompting them to speed to the scene to investigate. What they found was an adult male lying face-down in the street in from of the bar, suffering from an apparent pistol wound to his head, police said.
The victim, identified only as a 30 year-old male, was rushed by emergency personnel to a local area hospital and treated for a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He is currently listed as being in stable condition, according to authorities.
A second victim, identified only as a 31 year-old male, had suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his thigh and had driven himself to a local area hospital, where he was treated. Police said that his injuries were classified as non-life threatening.
There is currently no physical description of the shooter, and the reasons for the altercation are unknown as of press time.
