Celebrate the holiday with The RBC and Dub Shot Records in New York City
(New York, NY) On Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at 10:00 PM, please join music lovers from across the tri state area as local reggae/dub buzz band THE RBC celebrates the release of their long awaited full length album “When Is Now” to coincide with the 4/20 Holiday at Sullivan Hall, located at 214 Sullivan St. (b/w Bleecker & W.3rd St.) in the West Village, NYC. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased at http://tktwb.tw/Yc7FMQ or $12 at the door that night.
The last few years have seen the band steadily increasing their fanbase with their amazing live shows and appearances, from being covered in press like Newsday and played on radio, to gigs on national television on the CW 11 Morning Show and performing all over the east coast and back from venues like Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee (with acts like The Black Keys and Arcade Fire) to opening for Toots and The Maytals at Brooklyn Bowl in NY.
With artists as eclectic as Bad Brains, King Tubby, Ween and The Grateful Dead listed as influences, Singer/guitarist Andrew Gedacht, Drummer Mike Celano, Melodica/pianist Jimmy McGerald and Bass player John Carey truly create something unique and pleasurable. Ear candy for the aurally intrigued, if you will.
Look for THE RBC all summer at festivals such as the Forest Festival in New Paltz, NY on Saturday May 4th, Beerfields Festival at Pennysaver Amphitheater in Brookhaven, NY on Saturday June 29th, Marley Fest at the Vanderbilt in Centerport, NY on Sunday July 14th and many other dates TBA.
