Jewish Hour Curriculum Comes To Long Island Students

Time-Honored Program Delivers Free Jewish Enrichment and Discovery For Children in Public Elementary Schools
(Brooklyn, NY) The Released Time Program (RTP) of Greater New York today announced the expansion of its famed “Jewish Hour” to Nassau County, Long Island.
A long-standing project of the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education, the Released Time Programis universally respected for providing a richly informative experience for the inquisitive child.For more than 70 years, the RTP’s Jewish Hour of enrichment and discovery has been the popular choice of childhood Jewish education by thousands of parents throughout the Five Boroughs of New York, as well as Westchester.
“Our mission is to ensure that every Jewish child within our reach is afforded the opportunity to discover the roots of his Jewish identity through a captivating and meaningful education,” said Rabbi Zirkind, Director of the Released Time Program.
Experienced and enthusiastic instructors, equipped with innovative and exciting curricula, impart the beauty and joy of Jewish life, heritage, holidays and customs, always leaving the children with a strong foundation of Jewish pride.

Since its inception in 1941, the RTP’s weekly Jewish Hourhas been working in cooperation with New York State public elementary schools and has effectively reached over a quarter of a million Jewish boys and girls with exciting Jewish education and activities absolutely FREE!
Classes do not interfere with your child’s after school hours, and are held every Wednesday, one hour before school dismissal, at Jewish centers just minutes from your child’s school. Optionalfree transportation is available to classesand back to school for regular dismissal time or after school programs.
