(Long Island, NY) On July 19th, Comptroller DiNapoli will be delving into these opportunities in a public forum to take place in Woodbury. Action Long Island (ALI), the Long Island business organization known for its ongoing quest to drive the “Long Island Economic Initiative” will welcome Thomas DiNapoli as part of a symposium on July 19th, 2012 that will highlight funding opportunities for Long Island businesses through the NYS In-State Private Equity Program. The event will take place at the Crest Hollow Country Club from 12noon-2:00pm. Besides the Hon. Thomas DiNapoli, guest speakers will include Sleepys CFO, Joe Graci, Hamilton Lane, Private Equity Management Executive, David Helgerson and ALI Board Chairman Sheldon Sackstein. Numerous other elected officials, Long Island business owners and community leaders are expected to be in attendance.
ALI Executive Director, Angel Cepeda, said that he expects this meeting to continue fueling ALI’s Long Island Economic Initiative by providing additional options for local companies. “The LI business community is poised to shake the economic doldrums plaguing our region, and forward-thinking business leaders are hungry for source funding to expand and increase market share”, he said, and expressed his hope that owners of both large and small businesses would attend this symposium to hear from key experts about how they might benefit from the In-State Private Equity Program and other source funding opportunities.
In addition to ALI members, the business community at large is welcome to join the guest speakers, elected officials and leaders from some of LI’s largest companies at the symposium on July 19th.
