Former New York Democratic congressman Anthony Wiener is back, after Business Insider announced that the failed mayoral candidate will pen a monthly political op-ed for the online publication.

The new column, entitled “Weiner!”, aims to expose readers to the disgraced politician’s “unique combination of brashness and wonkiness.”
“It’s great to have the opportunity to add to the always smart and often iconoclastic coverage of politics and policy at Business Insider,” Weiner said in a statement. “I look forward to a spirited conversation with the BI community.”
The married politician famously had his career twice derailed by sexting scandals — the first forced him to resign from Congress and the second imploded his high-profile bid for New York City mayor. But Weiner seems to have calculated that the time is now right to arouse public interest in his political opinions.
The former congressman is clearly excited to be back in the limelight. “Maybe this will get me mentioned on the interwebs,” he wrote on Twitter, linking to the Business Insider announcement.
