Uniondale Parolee Charged in Rockville Centre Bank Robbery; Presented Demand Note, Fled with Cash

(Long Island, NY) Today, the Nassau County Robbery Squad in conjunction with the New York Division of Parole reported the arrest of Robert Davidson, 56, of Arthur Avenue in Uniondale.

According to detectives, on Friday, January 10, 2014 a 2:15 PM in Rockville Centre, Davidson entered the TD Bank located at 290 Merrick Road and presented a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, he fled on foot eastbound on the north side of Merrick Road.
Davidson, whom was unknown at that time, was described as a male black, 55-60 years of age, 5’10”, wearing a dark baseball cap, dark hooded jacket, a scarf and jeans. There were 7 employees and 1 customer present at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.
Davidson is charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and Violation of Parole. He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead tomorrow, Friday, January 24, 2014.
