Levittown Man Arrested for Shooting Gun; Charged with Possession of Weapon, Reckless Endangerment

(Levittown, NY) A Levittown man was arrested for shooting a gun into the air in Levittown on January 10 at 4:30am.
According to detectives, 911 received a call for a male shooting a gun into the air in the vicinity of Twig Lane and Newbridge Road.
While responding to the area, Second Precinct officers observed a male walking away from the area that fit the description of the subject.
After an investigation Michael Collier, 29, of Levittown was placed under arrest without incident. A .45 caliber handgun was found in his possession.
Collier is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree. He was arraigned on January 11, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
