Florida Man Rovering After Being Slashed with Box Cutter in Fight at Central Islip Restaurant & Bar

(Central Islip, NY) A Deer Park man was arrested for slashing a man with a box cutter at Mi Encanto at Central Islip bar and restaurant on Saturday, January 11.
According to a report by the Suffolk County Police Department, during an altercation between two groups of men, at Mi Encanto, located at 65 Carleton Ave., Wilson Martinez, slashed Jose Rivera with a box cutter at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Rivera, 29, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, suffered injuries on his torso from his shoulder to his waist. He was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, with non-life threatening injuries.
Martinez, 24, of Deer Park, left the scene, but was soon arrested by Third Precinct officers. He was charged with Assault First Degree. Martinez was arraigned Saturday, January 11 at First District Court in Central Islip.
