Amityville Hit and Run: Police Seeking Driver of Black Mercedes 350 Between Years 2010 and 2013

(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Amityville Village in May.
Carlos Perez-Rodas was struck by a vehicle on Route 110 on May 5 at approximately 12:40 a.m.

The driver of that vehicle stopped and, with others, attempted to aid the victim and stop traffic.
A second vehicle, described as a black Mercedes 350 between the model years 2010 and 2013, then struck the victim and fled the scene.
The Mercedes may have sustained lower front-end and/or undercarriage damage.
Perez-Rodas, 26, of Uniondale, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
