Boyfriend and Girlfriend Arrested for Multiple Burglaries

(Long Island, NY) According to Suffolk County Police, a boyfriend and girlfriend duo have been arrested for burglarizing multiple homes, as many as 12, in Sayville, Medford, Patchogue, and East Patchogue, since February.

Fifth Squad detectives, with the assistance of the Property Recovery Section conducted an investigation into a burglary pattern in the area which covers the Fifth Precinct, that resulted in the arrests of Richard Neumann, and Jessica King on July 12. Jewelry and numerous electronic items were recovered at the time of the arrest. The pair are also believed to have taken cash from prior burglaries.
The burglaries were all of un-occupied houses that occurred from February 4, through July 12. There were 12 burglaries in total, and 10 of them occurred since July 2. A green car was reported leaving the scene of the burglaries and detectives were able to trace the car back to King.
Neumann, 29, whose last known address of 140 Tarpon Ave., Medford, was charged with 12 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. King, 23, of 42 Schenk Dr., Shirley, was charged with 7 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
The investigation is continuing.
Neumann and King were both scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 14.
