“Celebrate America” Presented by TD Bank
(Long Island, NY) Nassau County has announced that they, in conjunction with TD Bank, will celebrate Independence Day by presenting a fireworks show and concert in Eisenhower Park on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Despite the cancellation of other high profile fireworks shows, TD Bank will still sponsor “Celebrate America” at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park. The fireworks, presented by the world-famous Grucci family, will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with Dean Karahalis and the Concert Pops, followed by Somethin’s Fresh, the best ‘80’s R&B, Dance and Funk Classic band on Long Island.
“The annual Fireworks Show and Concert here in Eisenhower Park is a great opportunity for families and seniors to come out and enjoy an incredible fireworks show,” said Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano in a statement released last week.
The theatre area gates will open at 5:00 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at nightfall (approx. 9:30 p.m.). Tickets are required for admission to the Theatre area and are available, free of charge, at any TD Bank on Long Island, while supplies last. There is no formal seating; visitors should bring blankets or chairs.
The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater is an outdoor theater located near parking fields 6 and 6A in Eisenhower Park. Eisenhower Park is centrally located in East Meadow, with entrances on Hempstead Turnpike at East Meadow Avenue and at the intersection of Stewart and Merrick Avenues.
