Ryan Cronin Stands with District Attorney Kathleen Rice on Reproductive Health
(East Meadow, NY) Today, Democratic State Senate candidate Ryan Cronin called on conservative Republican Kemp Hannon to support the Reproductive Health Act. The Reproductive Health Act was introduced into the New York State Senate, but Senator Hannon continues to block its passage.
“I stand with Nassau County District Attorney, Kathleen Rice, in calling for the decriminalization of abortion in New York State. Our antiquated state law must be changed. New York still regulates abortion in the criminal code and lacks protections if a woman’s health is in danger.”
The bill before the State Legislature - the Reproductive Health Act - will bring our laws up to date with Roe v. Wade by codifying that decision in the state’s public health law.
“Kemp Hannon must stop obstructing the passage of this important legislation. New York needs a law that ensures every woman has the right to make the best health decision for herself and her family.”
