When The Asteroid Hits: Physicists Claim Earth-Destroying Extinction-Level Asteroid Would Be Impossible to Destroy

Physicists from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Leicester, claim it would be impossible to destroy an asteroid by using a nuclear weapon buried deep within.
(Long Island, N.Y.) A team of physics students from the University of Leicester have been performing some interesting calculations on the feasibility of saving the planet from a meteorite doomsday. The Journal of Special Physics Topics from the University of Leicester covered the research in full and while Hollywood might have you believe otherwise, a nuclear weapon wouldn’t actually save the planet from an impending asteroid attack. In order to destroy an asteroid of sufficient size to wreck the Earth, such a bomb would have to be 1 billion times stronger than the largest nuclear device ever detonated. While Big Ivan was a powerful dark jewel in the USSR’s Cold War era arsenal, it still only carried a 50-megaton payload.
Even if one could build a hydrogen bomb strong enough to do some damage, the asteroid would have to be detected far earlier than the weapon in the 1998 movie Armageddon. Space exploration and military services would need ample time to plan a solution. In fact, moving the asteroid away from Earth with an attached propulsion system would be a better idea. “The conclusion is very simple. Our current level of technology is simply nowhere near sufficient to protect Earth from such an asteroid by this specific means of asteroid defense, though other possible methods have been suggested that may be more feasible” the paper stated.
In the unlikely event that a major disaster were to take place from an asteroid, it might be several days before vital services are restored; be prepared by following these tips.
BEFORE AN ASTEROID ATTACK OCCURS
- Create and emergency plan that you and the members of your household are familiar with.
- Keep an emergency kit with survival items like flashlights, batteries, a radio, food, water, dusk masks and basic medical supplies that will last at least three to five days.
- If you are near the ocean or large waterways move immediately to higher ground as there may be huge Tsunami sized floods as an effect of an asteroid impact.
DURING AN ASTEROID ATTACK
- Find a safe level place to drop, cover, and hold on until the shaking stops.
- Avoid going outside whenever possible and for as long as possible.
- Take your Survival Kit with you if you do have to leave.
AFTER AN ASTEROID ATTACK
- Expect the possibility of secondary disasters (such as earthquakes, aftershocks and tsunamis).
- Report injuries or fires to the emergency services (dial 911).
- Listen to the radio or other digital or analog transmissions for advice and information.
Numerous asteroid collisions have occurred in the past. The term Apollo objects refers to a particular group of asteroids that cross Earth’s orbit and occasionally do come into contact with the planet. An asteroid around one-tenth of a mile in diameter exploded above central Siberia in 1908. The resulting blast shattered windows as far as 600 miles away. Scientists predict that asteroids ten times larger than this object strike the Earth every few hundred thousand years. Nevertheless, this particular incident has become quite famous in the popular imagination.
Many Arizona residents are familiar with the Barringer Crater, which measures 0.7 miles across. It’s 590 feet deep. Experts believe that the crater was created around 25,000 years ago by a massive meteorite. While an object of that size wouldn’t destroy the Earth, it’s still large enough to create a number of climatic problems. No one would care to see something like that strike New York or Los Angeles either.
While authorities would have several options when trying to deal with such a strike, this isn’t the sort of scenario most people prepare for. In fact, its much more common that people prepare for hurricanes, wildfires or even violent uprisings but few even consider asteroids. A survey conducted by the Red Cross revealed that only 12 percent of the country is adequately prepared for an emergency. This means at least 88 percent of Americans are not prepared for an asteroid hitting Earth.

ridiculous! after an asteroid attack i doubt there will be any emergency services left to contact or telephone lines still working.

Are they actually trying to tell us something yet trying not to make it obvious???

From those observations, astronomers calculated a 1-in-200 chance that the Apophis asteroid would hit the Earth. If this was true, then this asteroid had become the most dangerous asteroid ever found. After taking more observations , the chances climbed even higher and by the end of December 2004, the chances of the Earth being struck by this asteroid climbed as high as 1-in-37.
Apophis is not only predicted in the bible to hit in 2029 A.D. but named as well and this is why!

First the facts about Apophis:
1 Apophis means “Destroyer”!
2 Apophis has a 7 year orbit
3 Apophis comes around Easter/Passover time every 7 year orbit.
In the bible Apophis is mentioned in Revelation:
Revelation 9:11
They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).
In Egytian it is Apophis.
Revelation 9
9 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.
This star/asteroid crashes into the earth and punctures the earth’s crust.
Revelation 8:8
The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea.
There are other passages in Revelation about the effects of this rock smashing into the sea but this should be sufficient.
Now we need to go to book of Daniel
Daniel 2:31- tells of a rock that is thrown from the heavens and destroys all man’s kingdoms.
Daniel 9:24 gives a time frame of 7 year cycles to when this rock will hit, at the end of the last 7 years this rock will hit.
** Note again Apophis’ orbit is a 7 year near earth orbit.
There is evidence of the Hebrew people being aware of this rock from ancient times:
Exodus 12
11 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover.
14 “This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord—a lasting ordinance.
****Remember when Apophis turns up, when it “” passes over”" the Earth, it is at Passover/Easter. Note also the significants of every 7 years to the Jewish people and how they celebrate it, leave that to your own research.
Since we have established that it is Apophis that will crash into the earth the next obvious question will be when?
First we need to know when Jesus will return.
Matthew 17:23
They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
Jesus was dead for 2 days and on the third day Jesus came back.
Hosea 6:2(NCV)
In two days he will put new life in us; on the third day he will raise us up so that we may live in his presence
Two days Jesus will put new life into us.
2 Peter 3:8
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
These two God days represent 2 thousand years, remember also that Adam was told he would die in that day he ate that fruit and lived many years later. He lived to be over 900 years but he did die before a thousand years were complete.
When Jesus died this new life Jesus gave was the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit has been working for almost 2000 years after that Jesus will be with mankind for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
So when did Jesus die, Passover 32A.D.? 2000 years later brings us to 2032 A.D.? note also
that when Jesus was crucified at Passover there was darkness and a earthquake, Apophis was passing over close to earth and effecting it.
Before Jesus returns there will be the tribulation.
Revelation 2:10 tells us the tribulation will be a ten day event, in this case the days represent years, 10 years (Ezekiel 4:4 days for years when dealing with sin)
10 days(years) from 2032A.D. brings us to 2022A.D the probable last near earth orbit of Apophis before it crashes into the earth in 2029 A.D.
Just after Apophis crashes to the earth there will be the rapture and about 3 years later Jesus will return.
p.s. Just after they told the scientist to say there is no risks, governments started building a lot of underground reinforced tunnels, seed vaults were constructed and food started to be stocked up, intersting that!
