Good Samaritan Hospital Names New Director of Food and Nutrition Services

(West Islip, NY) – Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center recently appointed Diane Carillo director of food and nutrition services. Carillo has more than 20 years of experience in dietary and support services, spanning from the airline and restaurant industries to assisted living and hospitals.
In her role at Good Samaritan, Carillo will be responsible for the planning and directing of the Nutrition and Food Services Department, encompassing patient service, the employee cafeteria and the visitor’s coffee shop. Prior to coming to Good Samaritan, she worked as an administrator of support services at Stony Brook University Medical Center, where she successfully implemented one of Long Island’s premier room service programs and was director of support services at Winthrop-University Medical Center.
Carillo holds an associate’s degree in applied science, a bachelor’s degree in hotel/ restaurant administration and a master’s degree in public administration from Long Island University. Carillo resides on the east end of Long Island with her family.
