Dan Macksood Named Regional Senior Vice President and CFO for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center and St. Charles Hospital

(Melville, NY) – Catholic Health Services of Long Island (CHS) has appointed Dan A. Macksood, MBA, regional senior vice president (SVP) and chief financial officer (CFO) for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center and St. Charles Hospital. Until recently, Macksood was CFO and SVP at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Prior to that, he held a similar position at Duke Health Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
“Dan will be providing business advisory support to the regional executive team and facilitating the development of improved reporting and information tools to enable the achievement of our financial goals,” said CHS’s Executive Vice President James Caldas, who is also president and CEO for Good Samaritan, St. Catherine of Siena and St. Charles.
With 27 years in his field, Macksood brings seasoned experience in strategic and financial planning, budgeting, resource allocation and financial information systems. For most of his career, he has had roles in hospital settings, resulting in expertise specific to the health care environment. He has served on a number of professional and civic committees. Macksood will be based in Melville, reporting to Caldas and CHS’s Executive Vice President and CFO Colleen Blye.and will reside in the Huntington Bay area.
