(West Islip, NY) – Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center a Magnet™ designated hospital– professional nursing’s highest honor, achieved by fewer than six percent of U.S. hospitals– continues to achieve top scores in the outpatient quality surgery program, as reported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Good Samaritan has stringent measures in place to ensure patient safety during surgical procedures. The Department of Surgery is staffed by more than 100 surgical specialists in 12 separate specialty divisions.
