(Bethpage, NY) – More than 145 people recently took to the green and over a hundred others helped raise money for Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD) during the not-for-profit organization’s annual Golf Outing at Glen Head Country Club. While the event generated awareness and support for the organization and its many vital programs and services, it also honored one of its founding members, Gail Mitzner for her 40 years of advocacy and dedication to the learning and developmental disability community.

“Gail’s philanthropic and leadership efforts have helped make ACLD the agency it is today,” said ACLD’s Executive Director Aaron Liebowitz. “She has sacrificed valuable time and resources to make the world a better place for individuals with developmental disabilities.”

The outing generated more than $130,000, making this year’s event one of the most financially successful outings in ACLD’s history. The funds generated are directly benefiting the many children and adults with learning and developmental disabilities, as well as their families, who receive the vast programs and services that ACLD provides.
