Applebee’s Pays Tribute To Working Parents With Free Meals For Kids This Labor Day
September 1, 2010
(Long Island, N.Y.) - This Labor Day, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar in Nassau and Suffolk counties will pay tribute to working parents by “paying” for kids’ meals. Families who dine at Applebee’s anytime on Monday, September 6, will receive up to two free Kids’ Meals with each adult entrée purchase. The free meals are valid for children ages 12 and under, on any Applebee’s “Kids’ Menu” entrée, dine-in only.
“We’re giving parents a well-deserved break–from the kitchen. We’ll do all the work this Labor Day by serving up lunch or dinner for families as they sit back, relax and enjoy one more family night out before the kids go back to school,” said Kurt Pahlitzsch, Director of Operations for Applebee’s Long Island. “Our 2 for $20 menu, which includes one appetizer and two entrees, will really stretch parents’ hard-earned dollars and is available not just on Labor Day but all year round for lunch and dinner.”
While the kids enjoy lunch or dinner from the Kids’ Menu, adults may want to try one of Applebee’s new Sizzling Entrees. Hot bubbling cheeses, caramelizing sauce, fresh steamed vegetables and choice of shrimp, steak and chicken on sizzling skillets give neighborhood guests what they’re craving, at a price they can swallow. All of Applebee’s new Sizzling Skillets start at $8.99.
