FREE’s Education And Professional Development Administrative Center Is Dedicated To The Salins Family Of Port Washington

salins_final_photo.jpg(Old Bethpage, N.Y.) - The Education and Professional Development Administrative Center at Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) has been named the Rochelle and Peter Salins Education and Professional Development Administrative Center. FREE provides training on a host of topics including CPR, First Aid, and specialty training and is certified to provide Stephen Covey’s ‘Seven Habits of Highly Effective Organizations” to not-for-profit providers. FREE has assisted a number of organizations develop and implement Corporate Compliance Plans that meet NYS requirements.

The center was dedicated on June 28, 2010 to Rochelle and Peter Salins of Port Washington, long-time family members of FREE. The Salins’ son participates in a residential program offered by FREE.
 
Peter D. Salins, Ph.D., is University Professor of Political Science at Stony Brook University and former Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the State University of New York System.  He serves on the boards of the Lavanburg Foundation, the Citizens Housing and Planning Council of New York and the Cody Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities at Stony Brook University.
 
Rochelle Salins is Instructor of Developmental Writing and Reading at Queensborough Community College of the City University of New York.  Ms. Salins has made significant civic contributions including service to the Port Washington Special Education Parent-Teacher Association and the Committee on Special Education of the Port Washington Schools.
