Save On Your Prescription Drugs
July 23, 2010
(Nassau County, N.Y.) - Nassau County residents have already saved $12 million with the NassauRx card and you can too! Senator Kemp Hannon recommends obtaining a NassauRx card in order to receive discounts at the pharmacy the next time you pick up your prescription drugs.
All Nassau County residents are eligible for the NassauRx Program, a free drug discount card that provides discounts of 20 percent to 50 percent on the cost of prescription medications.
People who are most likely to benefit from the Nassau Rx card include:
- Anyone who does not have prescription drug health benefit insurance
- Seniors who are in the “doughnut hole” of Medicare Part D
- Young adults who are not covered on their parents’ insurance and lack their own insurance
- Families without insurance who are not eligible for Medicaid
With eight out of ten pharmacies nationwide accepting the NassauRx discount card, saving is easy. There is no enrollment form, no membership fee and there are no limits to the amount of times you and your family can use your card if the prescription is not covered by insurance!
