Free Training Seminar For On Premises Licensees

(Nassau County, N.Y.)-Senator Kemp Hannon is alerting all Nassau County residents that the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office is hosting a free Alcoholic Beverage Control Law seminar for bars, restaurants and night club owners to be conducted by the Empire State Restaurant Tavern Owners Association in conjunction with the NYS Liquor Authority on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Nassau Community College located at 1 Education Drive, Garden City, New York from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This training seminar will provide information on licensing and compliance issues vital to licensees, managers and servers to insure compliance with law.   Upon completion of this seminar, licensees and staff will be issued a certification under the Alcohol Awareness Training Program (ATAP).  This training focuses on a licensee’s responsibilities regarding prohibited sales to minors and as well as visibly intoxicated patrons and provides the benefit of affirmative defense.
