(Dix Hills, N.Y.)-The winner of the Spring 2010 Girls U9 JSS Major Soccer Division is the Dix Hills Dynamite White, who finished with a perfect record of 8 wins and 0 losses. Great job girls, in going undefeated in the major division of JSS! This division included the best teams from Long Island for U9 soccer, and their undefeated season should be something to be proud of. The coaching staff from Dix Hills would like to take a minute and thank all the parents for the continued commitment to the players and to this team. Without the parent’s constant help and support, we would not be where we are today.
Three years ago when this group finished its U6 spring season, coach Bob Rocco decided to make a change in how this age group would be run going forward. He started with some training during the summer, but changed to a new format in the Fall of the U7 season. The coach decided to get away from making set teams and having weekly games and focused on developing each player while stressing team unity and commitment. In a statement from Coach Bob, “I realize that change is never easy but because each of the parents bought into this new concept 100%, and we were able to work together and provide each player with the skills and techniques to be successful.” What these girls, from Dix Hills, have been able to accomplish over the past two years is simply astonishing and all the players and parents should all be very proud. Not only have they gone undefeated this spring, this past winter they were the only soccer team from Long Island, playing in the indoor league at Coastal, not to give up a single goal. Not to mention, this was all done playing a year up, in the U10 division. Coach Bob states, “I speak for Jack and all the coaches when I say that we are so very proud of the girls. I thank you for the past and look forward to your continued support and commitment for the future.”
As for the players, the coaching staff wants to thank them for the hard work and dedication they have shown to Jack and all the coaches. It is very rare to have a group of kids that get along so well and truly care about each other and the team rather then themselves. They are a true TEAM in every sense of the word and coach Bob is honored to be a part of it and look forward to more fun and exciting soccer seasons yet to come.

I think we have the greatest coaches ever (and fans.) Coach bob is an amazing coach. He taught us very well. He is very nice and kind. I am very happy to have him as my coach. I aslo love my team. Nobody will ever get closer than us. We have pool parties, sleepover’s and lots more. I am very happy and hope that our team will stick together forever. If one person leaves it won’t be as fun as when they were on our team. Lol Jillian!!

Hey!!!!! I love being part of such a close team. We have versed teams were they yell at eachother. We all get along really well and we always have eachothers back. Dix Hills Dynamite White ROCKS.
