Founder Of Pulse Of New York Wins 2010 Women Of Distinction

(New York, N.Y.)-Ilene Corina, president and founder of PULSE of New York and a nationally recognized advocate for patient safety, took home the 2010 Women of Distinction Award for the Sixth District of New York, presented by Senator Kemp Hannon.
“Corina’s work has been invaluable to patient safety efforts across the state,” said Senator Hannon. “She is a true leader and I am honored to present her with this award,” Hannon continued.
As President of PULSE of New York, a grass roots patient safety advocacy group that runs support groups and workshops for survivors of medical injuries and develops patient safety programs for medical professionals and healthcare consumers, Corina has transformed modern health care patient safety.
Among her many honors, Corina was also named one of Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare of 2009.”
