The Northeast Region Of The Construction Specifications Institute Elects Kenneth Gehringer From H2M As The New Vice President

(Melville, N.Y.) –H2M architects and engineers, a multi-disciplined service firm, is proud to announce that Kenneth R. Gehringer, AIA, CSI, CCCA, has been elected as the new Vice President for the Northeast Region of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). CSI is a national association dedicated to creating standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery.
CSI was founded in March 1948 by the specification writers of government agencies who came together to improve the quality of construction specifications. The mission of CSI is to advance building information management and education of project teams to improve facility performance.
The organization is unique in the industry in that its members are a cross section of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors, facility managers, product representatives, manufacturers, owners and others who are experts in building construction and the materials used therein. CSI is renowned in the industry for its rigorous certification programs for professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of accurate and concise construction documents.
Kenneth R. Gehringer, AIA, a resident of East Islip, NY, is a Senior Project Architect in the Private Sector Division at H2M. He joined H2M in 1989 and manages in-house staff and sub consultants on both private and public multi-discipline projects of varied scopes and sizes. Mr. Gehringer has a B.S. in Architectural Technology from New York Institute of Technology; he is a registered architect and a Certified Construction Contract Administrator.
